Kingwood Greens is a Kingwood Service Association member association, which means residents have sticker access to KSA’s private parks. The Kingwood Service Association owns 356.6 acres across five private parks, with access by resident sticker: East End Park (158.5 acres at the east end of Kingwood Drive, with two miles of Lake Houston frontage), River Grove Park (74 acres at the south end of Woodland Hills Drive, with a boat ramp to Lake Houston and a boardwalk over the San Jacinto River), Deer Ridge Park (63 acres), the North Park Recreation Area, and the 42-acre Creekwood Nature Area.
The community around it
Kingwood covers 14,000 acres and was founded 1970, with the first village opening in 1971, developed by a joint venture between Friendswood Development Company, an Exxon subsidiary, and King Ranch. It was annexed by the City of Houston at the end of 1996, and it is known as the Livable Forest.
It sits mostly Harris County, with a small portion in Montgomery County, on the east fork of the San Jacinto River, with access to Lake Houston, across ZIP codes 77325, 77339, 77345 and part of 77346. Schools are Humble ISD in the Harris County portion, and New Caney ISD in the Montgomery County portion. For Kingwood Greens that means Harris County and Humble ISD. Running through all of it is a greenbelt system of more than 75 miles, with tunnels beneath the major arterials.
