Atascocita is an unincorporated community in Harris County, sitting on the western and southern shores of Lake Houston between the City of Humble and the water. Its ZIP code is 77346. FM 1960 and West Lake Houston Parkway are the two arteries everything hangs off, and the area is served by Humble ISD.
Because it is unincorporated there is no city hall. Utilities and drainage come through Municipal Utility Districts, and which MUD you are in changes what you pay. Downtown Houston is roughly a 30-minute run in light traffic; George Bush Intercontinental is closer still.

Atascocita is an unincorporated community in Harris County, sitting along the southern and western shores of Lake Houston between Humble and the water. It is made up largely of master-planned neighborhoods, which means the housing stock is newer than much of northeast Houston and the price range is unusually broad. There is genuinely something here from a first home through to lakefront.
